An Introduction

All the classes advertised are taught by myself. I am a member of the Body Control Pilates Association (BCPA) and also the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs) as a Level 3 Advanced Instructor (see The Standard page).

I completed my Pilates training with the BCPA, which entailed an extensive training course, followed by a practical examination, a written examination (which includes anatomy) and approx. 100 hours of supervised training with more senior instructors.  This  is to ensure that instructors are of a high standard.  We follow a Code of Conduct and also have a Continous Professional Development programme to ensure that standards are maintained and also to keep up to date with the latest medical research related to pilates.

After practicing Pilates for 6 years I decided to train to become an instructor.  I feel passionately that everyone can benefit from the exercises, whether it's to help with back/neck/shoulder pain, posture, or just for the feeling of leaving the class relaxed, after a stressful day.  Embrace pilates and feel, as well as see, the difference.
